First flight of the YC-130A was sixty years ago today. God (and the DOD) willing, the design will see another sixty.

+1 for anything with JATO assist. Of course that brings to mind that C-130 crash with the short field reverse JATO rockets. So+1 for anything with JATO rockets aimed the correct direction.
